Genshin Impact’s 3.3 update has brought another fun new event Across the Wilderness for players to enjoy casually. The new event has players scrambling across Teyvat on the hunt for balloons as they parkour their way across various stages. The event has a variety of fun mechanics and some very generous rewards that players should be sure to collect.
Here’s all you need to know about the event and how you can get all the rewards that come along with it.
How To Participate
There are some basic requirements that players need to meet to be eligible for the event.
- Adventurer Rank 20 and above
- Complete the Mondstadt Archon quest “Prologue Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom”
After this, you just need to talk to Vinkel in Mondstadt and equip the Wilderness Compass to get started with the event.
Event Mechanics
The event will have a total of 5 stages which will be unlocked daily. Your objective is to collect the 40 Wilderness Balloons available on each stage within the time limit.
Collecting them is as simple as walking within their range, but the event courses will require you to do a bit of parkour. Furthermore, you can get all the rewards by collecting 30 balloons, so don’t feel too pressured if you can’t get all 40.
More on the different Wilderness Balloons, the Wilderness Compass Skills, and the Stage Rewards below.
Balloon Types
There are two types of Wilderness Balloons: the Harvest Balloon and the Solar Balloon, each with its own purpose.
Harvest Balloon
Harvest Balloons are the regular purple balloons that you will see scattered across the stage. Collecting them is a simple task; they will make up most of your collected balloons.
Solar Balloon
This special orange balloon is trickier to collect; once you touch it, it will spawn several Harvest Balloons with red outlines that players must collect within a time limit.
Once you collect all the spawned Balloons, you will also collect the Solar Balloon.
Wilderness Compass Skills
The event also provides you with a Wilderness Compass that grants you access to certain abilities. You can select one ability before you start a stage and charge them using the various yellow orbs around the stage.
Currently, we have four compass skills available:
- Leapbless: You can jump higher
- Windbless: Generates a wind current to fly
- Chargebless: Increases Balloon capture radius
- Scoutbless: Increases movement speed and capture radius.
- Trovebless: Increases jump height and capture radius.
- Speedbless: Increases movement speed and decreases stamina consumption.
Make sure to use the appropriate ability depending on the challenges in the stage.
Stage Rewards
The rewards for this event are quite generous as these stages are quick to clear. There are a total of 5 stages, with each stage offering the following rewards:
- 80 Primogems
- 4 Hero’s Wit
- 40,000 Mora
- Four 3-star Talent Books
- Eight 3-star Mystic Enhancement
Remember that each stage will be found in a different location, so be vigilant and collect them all.
Best Characters
Naturally, characters who are tall or have skills that provide them mobility will be exceptionally useful in this event. Some of the best characters to use include:
- Venti
- Kazuha
- Wanderer
- Zhongli
- Keqing
Make sure to use them or co-op with players who have them to get stages done in the fastest times!
